Tom and Janet's story life insurance policies
Tom and Janet are planners. That's why they signed up for life insurance when they had the first of their 3 boys.
Their planning and hard work has paid off. After 30 years, all of their boys have grown up and moved out of the house. During that time, they were disciplined with their spending, saving and investing.
As a result, they've built enough of a retirement account that they don't need the life insurance policy.
Tom thought briefly about canceling the policy, but decided it would be better to invest it in spreading the Gospel.
He was amazed when the estate-design specialist he talked to at The Great Commission Foundation told him that he could receive a tax deduction for the value of the policy. Subsequent annual premiums would be deductible as well, should they choose to continue paying the premiums (optional).
Tom and Janet talked. They decided to keep paying the premiums until they pass away so their life insurance policy can reach the most people possible with the love of Jesus. Through careful stewardship and planning, they could afford this additional monthly expense.
